I’m very happy to report that Santa did indeed bring me a new laptop. So far, I’m loving it!!! Now onto the food…
Christmas dinner included:
- Scalloped Sweet Potato Casserole with Bacon
- Pearl Onions in a Cream Sauce
- Ham (the MOST delicious e v e r)
- Butternut Squash
- Green Bean Casserole
- Biscuits
- Jello/Yogurt Salad
- Peas
And for dessert:
- Pumpkin Pie
- Lemon Meringue Pie
- 7-Layer Bars
- Dough Balls
I really had to rally for dessert after dinner but I enjoyed a good size square of 7-Layer Bar. After that, I couched it for the remainder of the evening.
The pup was really worn out too. It must be all the fresh Maine air and playtime he’s been having with my parents.
I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday and enjoyed some tasty eats!
yay for a new laptop! Those sound like some AWESOME eats. Mmm a seven layer bar...maybe that's what I need in my life...
ReplyDeleteoh. my. GOD. this looks so good. i am so hungry now lol. my aunt made awesome food for xmas. Baked beans, macaroni salad, potato salad, gullivers corn (if you've never had it--you NEED to lol) pork roast, candied yams. oh man. i didn't eat half of it for fear of a heart attack on the spot! Your menu looks much healthier, but still super yummy.
ReplyDeleteI was in charge of dessert so I made a spiced applesauce cake with cinnamon cream cheese frosting i found on smittenkitchen. i will have to post it. im so glad to see you had a good time. family can be the best (and/or worst) lol. happy new year and i'm going to go check out some sites from your sidebar here. . .need more recipess... lol
I like the looks of your Christmas dinner. I especially like that you had so many options for dessert...my favorite part. Well, except for the sweet potatoes with bacon. That might top my list.
